Training Objectives
EuroNeurotrophin aims at creating a new generation of young scientists with a broad understanding and skill set in chemical biology with emphasis on the neuroscience field and to educate 14 young researchers regarding the knowledge underpinning the neurotrophin related field as well as on drug and natural products research for neurodegenerative diseases.
Work package leader: Technische Universität Dresden (TUD)
Objectives: to provide a comprehensive and multidisciplinary research and industrial training to ESRs to contribute to their formation as the future European experts in the neurotrophin field.

Schools of EuroNeurotrophin
EuroNeurotrophin will provide to 14 ESRs a comprehensive and multidisciplinary research and industrial training to contribute to their formation as future European experts in the neurotrophin field.
Network-wide training activities combine specialised research training and training in transferable/technical skills and will be implemented mainly in three network-wide training events, the ‘EuroNeurotrophin Network Weeks’, including three Summer schools.

Secondments
ESRs will spend 4-5 months of their training period at other participating institutions within the network (Interactive Hosts), to undertake collaborative experiments and receive intersectoral training. These secondments will not only broaden the skills set and horizons of the ESRs but will build the foundations for longer-term collaborations between the network teams, while exposing the ESRs to the breadth of available expertise of the consortium.
