accelopment AG: GDPR Compliance Statement
The General Data Protection Regulation
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is effective from the 25th May 2018. The GDPR aims to strengthen the security and protection of personal data in the EU and will replace the European Privacy Directive and national legislations accordingly.
At accelopment we welcome the arrival of the GDPR. The success of our company builds on the trust that our clients, employees and other stakeholders have in our ability to deliver the highest quality services. This includes our ability to apply a high level of data protection and security in relation to personal data that our customers, employees and third parties entrust to us.
accelopment considers it not just its duty to comply with national and international data protection regulations, but also to do this by applying the same standards, processes and procedures in a cohesive and comprehensive manner. This allows us to deliver the transparency, predictability and consistency that our stakeholders continue to expect from us.
Being an ISO 9001 compliant organisation, we have a comprehensive industry leading quality management system in place to assure a high level for security and compliance within our internal processes.
Processing of customer personal data
We do not process personal data on behalf of the Customer without without the freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent of a person and notify relevant authorities immediately in case of data regulation breaches.
Data protection and security
For security purposes we have a legitimate interest as a Data controller in the processing of the personal data of our visitors accessing the datacenter. Our visitors are required to register personal data (Visitor Personal Data) at the entrance, and, where fingerprint readers are part of our access management system, provide fingerprints. In addition, the general access areas and the customer areas are controlled and secured by CCTV recordings. Visitor Personal Data is processed in compliance with the applicable GDPR principles. Amongst other things, this means that Visitor Personal Data shall not be kept longer than strictly necessary for security compliance purposes or as required by local law.
accelopment AG is fully GDPR compliant since 25 May 2018 and have all required policies, processes and procedures in place.
Any accelopment AG GDPR related questions and any data subject requests can be addressed to accelopment’s Data Protection Officer Liam Colman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file that can be placed on your device that allows us to recognise and remember you. It is sent to your browser and stored on your computer’s hard drive or tablet or mobile device. When you visit our sites, we may collect information from you automatically through cookies or similar technology.
Other organisations collect user information on our sites through cookies, tags and pixels. Tags and pixels, also known as web beacons, are similar to cookies but are collected through embedded images.
Using cookies and other technology allows other organisations to help us to analyse how our site is being used and measure the number of visitors to the site.
Cookies that are used by accelopment are referred to as “first-party cookies” and those that are used by our partners are “third-party cookies”. Because of how cookies work, our website cannot access third-party cookies; nor can other organisations access the data in the cookies we use on our website. There are more details about both in the following sections.

For example, we collect information about which of our pages are most frequently visited, and by which types of users. We also use third-party cookies to help with performance. For example, the Google Analytics cookie gives us information such as your journey between pages and whether you have downloaded anything (details of how to opt out of it are below).
- Functionality: Cookies that are used to recognise you and remember your preferences or settings when you return to our site, so that we can provide you with a more personalised experience. A mix of first-party and third-party cookies are used.
